Medium Bio

Based in Dallas, Dr. Cheryl Cellon Lindquist is a pianist, collaborative artist, conductor, and recording artist whose career has taken her into concert halls, opera companies, festivals, universities, churches, and recording studios throughout the United States and abroad. Equally at home as a soloist and collaborator, she brings a thoughtful, expressive approach to music shaped by deep listening, imagination, and communication.

Her collaborations have included distinguished singers, instrumentalists, composers, choirs, and ensembles, with professional work encompassing opera, art song, chamber music, solo piano, sacred music, musical theatre, and new works. She has worked with organizations including Fort Worth Opera, Austin Lyric Opera, San Antonio Opera, Arizona Opera, AIMS, Songfest, Opera Steamboat, and the Taos Opera Institute, and with composers including Jake Heggie, John Harbison, Lori Laitman, Michael Ching, Juliana Hall, and Tobias Picker.

Teaching and coaching are a natural extension of Cheryl’s life as an artist. Drawing on decades of professional experience, she encourages musicians to listen deeply, communicate honestly, and approach both words and music with intention. Whether performing, collaborating, conducting, or working with emerging artists, she believes in the joy of making music together and in the conversation that can happen when we truly listen.
